I did a search for Mohammed 2008 and it wasn't listed. How do I find an archive, please?

Mohammed,

There are no words that can express to you my heart's feelings. I will only say that I can't think or talk about any of this without breaking into tears. My poor husband has born the brunt of my frustration and anger over all that is happening to the Palestinian people twice just within this past week.

I'm happy to see that at least 300k were able to make it across the border. I hope you were able to get your mother across for treatment of her illness.

My heart and thoughts are always with you and your's... I would if I could give all I have to change what is happening, but alas it would not solve the issue at hand. There's much courage I could learn from each of you because so many times I've thought to give up and no longer want to be a part of this world.

Thinking how extremely, even bitterly hard it must be for each of you just to wake each and every morning (if in fact, you even slept at all)... how could I do anything less and keep my heart's thoughts/ prayers lifted daily while speaking the truth to those who are open to hear it.

Each of you are heroes and deserve so much more in this life... so much more. Please NEVER stop documenting the horrors and atrocities committed against your people in our name by our government.

Much Love Always to you and your's..
Candie

I missed most of it because I couldn't leave work but I just found it:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/check/worldserv...

Direct link if your audio is set up for it is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/ondemand/worlds...

If that link doesn't work, let me know. I'm listening to it now. I think there's more than that because the part I heard from work had Mohammed and an entire time discussing with others. This isn't what I heard from work but this is from today too.

I'm listening now. God, he sounds so tired. I'll transcribe it when I have time. Hopefully tomorrow, if not then Friday morning.

I'll also record this and look for the other podcast.

This is so dreadful. BRING DOWN THAT FUCKING WALL!

I'm so sorry I missed Mohammed too.

Do you know if there is a podcast of the BBC with his voice on it and the questions?
Did anyone tape it?

PEACE!

BBC Have Your Say 1/23/08
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/worldservice/w...

Am listening to it now. Lord, the Israeli case is so pathetic. Some idiot Settler loving American woman who emigrated to Sderot starts off with how they can't go through their regular lives and Israel shows too much patience. Wow.... "Israelis were brutally evicted from their homes".

Mohammed is responding to her now. They get one minute each.

Hitting post. I have to go to work now.

Mohammed is doing great. Very clear, very focused.

Viewpoints from Sderot and Rafah

On one side of the Gaza-Israel border lies the southern Israeli town of Sderot where 22,000 residents live within easy range of the unguided rockets fired by Palestinian militants. On the other are the 1.5 million Palestinian inhabitants blockaded by the Israeli army, though since Wednesday able to reach Egypt thanks to militants who blew up border defences.

BBC News website readers from either side describe their experiences.

HAVA GAD, SDEROT, ISRAEL
Hava has lived in Sderot for 11 years. She is married with three children.

I moved here because I was looking for a small, quiet and wonderful place for my children to grow up in. That's what it was like here then.

It's still wonderful, just the rockets have changed everything.

It started to change seven years ago, but the rockets weren't so dangerous as they are today.

When the rockets start I shake and I can't breathe. I have to take valium to calm down. I get stomach cramps.

My nine-year-old son gets asthma because of the stress. He wets the bed and is not able to concentrate well at school.

The children spend all day in the classroom because they are not allowed out. We all sleep in the safe room at home.

I used to work as an office manager at a kibbutzim. But because I don't sleep at night properly, I stopped work three years ago.

I used to work with someone from Gaza and I still have his mobile number. I last spoke to him a month ago.

We call each other and say we miss each other. He can't come to Israel any more.

When I was a teenager I remember going to Gaza. My father had a Palestinian friend and we were invited to Gaza and they were invited to us. I miss that.

A lot of people say they don't care what happens to the Palestinians in Gaza.

I am a mother and I don't want any children getting hurt. When I saw Palestinian children getting cold because of the fuel shortages on TV the other night, I cried.

However, I don't think the Palestinian government wants peace; the citizens do.

I never think of leaving Sderot. This is my home. If we left, that would mean Hamas had won.

MOHAMMED OMER, 23, RAFAH, GAZA STRIP
Mohammed Omer is a journalist based in the southern Gaza town of Rafah.
Palestinians climb over the wall dividing Gaza and Egypt at Rafah

I went to the border at Rafah today and saw several hundred thousand people crossing to buy things such as milk, cheese, medicines, cows, goats and washing powder.

I support six brothers, my mother and sister with my salary.

We currently have no running water at home and electricity is off much of the night.

Mother had to sleep on a hospital floor when she went for operation recently due to the lack of equipment.

I have sympathy for all human beings, but I'm not in a position to criticise the rocket fire .

My brother was killed in 2003 by the Israeli army, who also demolished our home in Rafah even though we are just ordinary Palestinians.

You don't feel safe anywhere in the Gaza Strip. It's dangerous everywhere; Israeli helicopters and F-16s overhead all the time.

The hardest thing is going in the streets of Gaza to find body parts scattered everywhere. So many people have been killed here over the past few days.

We are living under occupation. I've been applying to Israel to go to the West Bank - which is part of my country - and I'm not allowed.

We need to work out how to make a settlement, so Palestinians and Israelis can make a living, and to calm things down.

It doesn't matter if we are Muslim, Jew or Christian, we are all human. None of us should suffer.

family through the stress; whereas, the Palestinians have NO choices, but to wake each day to possibly live another day.

One rocket here, one rocket there..

How many times a day do the rockets get launched w/o any way to guide them? From what I've read most are dudes because they are of very poor quality.

OTH, watch the video in the streets of Gaza with the Israeli bullets never-ending down the streets ricocheting off walls and things.. killing children and more continuously! Where the hell does someone get the $$$$ to continuously pound bullets into the air in steady streams day in and day out?!?!?

So, we/they/someone can afford all those bullets, bulldozers, armored tanks, flying aircraft with missles and the like and all that spying stuff, etc., etc., but we can NOT find the $$$$ to clothe, feed, and medicate people.

It's all about the priorities and to hell with living beings. All must die and more especially if they are brown-skinned.

Stopping my rant now. It's never ending. They are doing what they came to do and no one will stop them until THEY decide to stop or the whole world turns against them.
